“Space remains a magical notion for us.” That sense of wonder defines 1LeapingFrog Studio. In House K, Bhyrav and Aatira have created something that feels larger than just walls and windows. They have built a home that breathes. Envisioned for a couple in their sixties, the home is meant for a slower pace of life. Instead of pushing outward, the architecture wraps inward in a C-shape, cradling a garden that becomes the heart of the house. It feels seamless. The walls don’t divide the landscape from the living room; they guide one into the other. From the vaulted lounge to the skylit bridges, every transition is gentle. “At first, we didn’t want to cross the Sea Link,” laughs Mira Kapoor. Step inside Mira (@mira.kapoor) and Shahid Kapoor’s (@shahidkapoor) stunning sanctuary in Worli, Mumbai where every element is chosen with intention. Designed by Annkur Khosla Design Studio (@annkurkhosla) and inspired by Mira’s nostalgic Chattarpur farmhouse, the refined contemporary home was remotely curated over 14 months during the pandemic. Focusing on the balance of global and Indian craftsmanship. The low-seating Aayutha dining table, inspired by the Sangam Tamil era, is crafted from granite and brass to evoke simplicity and togetherness. Complementing it are the Kelir chairs, which combine intricate woven detailing with hidden wheels for elegance and functionality. The meticulously designed lighting amplifies their sculptural beauty.
