🌱✨ Let’s make a Bappa that grows ✨ This year, instead of buying an idol, I decided to make my own Eco-Friendly Ganesha 💛 using the @itsybitsycraftstore DIY Kit — with a mould, clay, coconut husk & Tulsi seeds. And honestly, creating Bappa with my own hands made the celebration feel even more special. Here’s how Bappa came to life 👇 🌸 Oil the mould so the clay doesn’t stick 🌸 Mix clay + coconut husk + Tulsi seeds 🌱 🌸 Fill the mould, let it set & carefully unmould 🌸 Paint Bappa in beautiful golden metallic shades 🌸 Add stones, dhoti & pagdi for the finishing touches 🌸 For the Mandap, I upcycled the kit’s box — added a textured finish, stencil design & a colourful yarn backdrop ✨ 🌸 Place Bappa inside… and your handmade Mandap is ready. 💚 And here comes the most beautiful part — Visarjan at home. Before the visarjan, carefully remove all the accessories and decorations from the idol. Keep aside the stones, fabric, yarn, etc. so they don’t go into the soil. Then immerse the eco-friendly Ganesha in a planter or pot with soil. 🌱 Since the idol contains Tulsi seeds, with a little care and watering, you can watch Tulsi grow from Bappa’s blessings. 🌿🙏 This year, my Bappa isn’t just a decoration. What if your Rakhi could grow into a little garden? 🌱 Iss Raksha Bandhan, I didn’t want to make just another Rakhi. I wanted to make something that doesn’t end up in the dustbin after the festival. ♻️ So I made my own plantable DIY Rakhi using the simplest things — mitti, seeds, mauli & lots of love. And the best part? No artificial colours. No beads. No plastic. Nothing unnecessary. Just natural terracotta mitti. 🤎 🪷 How I made it: Lightly oil the silicone mould (this is actually a jewellery mould😁from @claysphere ) Fill it halfway with mitti and press firmly. Add the vegetable seeds and gently press them in. Place the mauli in position. Cover it with another thin layer of mitti and press everything together. Repeat with your favourite designs. Carefully demould after 5–10 minutes. Let them air-dry completely… and your plantable Rakhis are ready🌱✨ Then comes my favourite part. 🥹 Rakhi baandho → pyaar celebrate karo → aur festival ke baad usse mitti mein daal do. 🌱 Pot mein ya garden ki soil mein… with the right conditions, the seeds can grow into vegetables or flowers. 🌼🥬 So instead of “Rakhi khatam, Rakhi waste”… Rakhi khatam → aur ek nayi shuruaat. 🤎🌱 No wastage. No plastic. Finally, it's done🤩 This project had been pending for so long, and I'm so happy I finally completed it.i got this beautiful wooden horse customized from @craftmitra.in and transformed it into a wireless horse lamp using the decoupage technique. I tried to decoupage this style for the very first time, and honestly, I'm so satisfied with how it turned out. The blue floral details, gold accents, and the warm glow make it look so elegant. The best part? It uses a rechargeable wireless bulb with a remote, so you can place it anywhere without worrying about wires. Love plants but don’t have time to care for them? So I made this DIY mini flower pot magnet—cute, lightweight, and no maintenance needed ✨ I made the flowers and leaves using craft wire, plastic flowers, and leaf pieces. With easy twisting techniques, I created 8–10 small branches to give it a full and beautiful look 😍 DIY Tip: While twisting the wire, use your thumb as the base 👍 This helps create even grooves and gives a neat, clean finish. To hold the branches, I filled a mini pot with spray foam. I chose spray foam because it is very light, dries strong, and keeps the branches firmly in place 🪴 Let the foam dry for 30–40 minutes, then cut the extra foam. (You can reuse the leftover foam for other DIY projects ♻️) After it dried, I painted the base with burnt sienna acrylic paint to give it a soil-like look 🎨 I used paints from Itsy Bitsy—I really love the colour quality and smooth finish. Next, I added green moss on top using glue to give it a fresh garden feel 🌿 Then I carefully inserted and arranged the branches until it looked neat and balanced 🌸 To make it a magnet, I glued a coin at the back of the pot using silicone glue. Let it dry for 1–2 hours. And that’s it ✨ Your mini cute planter magnet is ready—perfect for fridge decor or gifting 💕 I used Itsy Bitsy silicone glue and acrylic paints for this project. 😲 THIS BIRD IS MADE FROM WASTE ♻️🪞 Yes… cardboard, thermocol, and broken mirrors 🤍 Before throwing things away, pause ✨ Because waste can become art 😍 This mirror bird wall decor is completely handmade using discarded materials ♻️ DIY Steps:. 1️⃣ Cut the bird shape using cardboard and thermocol 2️⃣ Sand the surface properly for a smooth finish (using sandpaper) 3️⃣ Apply acrylic putty 4️⃣ Let it dry completely 5️⃣ Cut out the centre mirror using a cutting tool 6️⃣ Decorate the bird using the remaining broken mirror pieces 🪞 7️⃣ Paste a thread at the back to make it wall-ready 👉 Note: I have cut the centre mirror from a waste mirror using a cutting tool.
