PostsWhat makes a dining space feel warm enough to bring everyone together? The dining area was envisioned as a seamless extension of the living room, creating a home that feels open, connected, and effortless to live in. Staying true to the client’s vision, every detail was designed to balance minimal interior design with everyday functionality. An oak dining table takes centre stage, paired with handcrafted cane dining chairs that introduce warmth and timeless character. Soft arches, fluted glass storage units, and generous built-in storage ensure the space remains practical while maintaining a clean and uncluttered aesthetic. Every material was chosen with intention, allowing natural textures and thoughtful craftsmanship to define the experience. Oversized woven pendant lights, a neutral colour palette, and subtle architectural details add depth without overpowering the space. The result is a modern dining room that feels bright, welcoming, and perfectly suited for everyday family living. PostsLocation: Hyderabad Project: 3BHK Apartment Design Style: Minimal Modern How would a home for a family of three with a busy lifestyle look? This project takes us back to one of our favourite homes in Hyderabad. The client’s vision was simple, a home that felt bright, uncluttered, and timeless. Their brief centred around a modern aesthetic with soft arches, light oak finishes, and spaces that could support everyday living without feeling overwhelming. Taking these ideas forward, our designers developed a home that reflects Interior Maata’s approach to design, minimal, sustainable, and thoughtfully detailed. Every element was selected with intention, allowing the materials and proportions to define the space rather than excessive ornamentation. A neutral colour palette is paired with natural oak finishes, cane detailing, and subtle architectural mouldings throughout the living room. Indirect cove lighting highlights the clean geometry, while the arched transitions soften the overall composition, creating a warm and understated contemporary interior. The result is a home that feels calm, functional, and enduring, designed to evolve with the family while remaining effortless to live in. ReelsI went to the best antique market in Paris. I spent the whole day walking through these Paris streets, and honestly i cant tell you how happy i was . Those wooden consoles to chandeliers to glass decor these pieces have a soul that modern furniture just can’t replace. 🗼 I kept taking inspiration from each and every piece so that I can make something for my future projects. Thinking how beautiful these would look in any Indian apartment with our Indian heritage touch my day passed in these lanes. ✨🫀 Tag someone who would love to have such beautiful antique furniture or decor in their home. ReelsWatch full video on YT Everyone talks about getting high-budget clients. No one talks about when to walk away. Interior design is often seen as an easy business. It is, but only when you set and respect your boundaries. This was a ₹1 crore project. Beautiful, and something we were excited to build. But no project is worth compromising the mental well-being of your team. I chose to walk away because the client crossed a line. Rude behavior is one thing, but abusive language towards my team is something I will never tolerate. We are not just here to design spaces, we are here to protect the people who make them possible. Respect is not negotiable. Not for any budget, not for any client. #interiormaata #interiordesign #interiordesigner #clientexperience

ReelsWhite walls look premium in foreign homes… but in India they can feel too harsh. Here’s the reason. In many Western countries sunlight is softer and limited. White walls help reflect natural light, making the space look brighter and bigger. At the same time, the neutral background allows art, furniture, wood, stone and other materials to create a beautiful colour pop. This is why white interiors look very elegant abroad. In India, sunlight is strong and abundant for most of the year. When that harsh light hits pure white walls, it reflects aggressively and often creates glare and eye-straining brightness. That is why traditional Indian homes preferred warm whites, lime plaster and earthy tones which soften the sunlight instead of bouncing it back. Good interior design is not about copying trends from the West. It is about understanding Indian light, climate and materials. ReelsStained glass has always fascinated me. I used to wonder why it felt so special. During my Europe trip, I finally wanted to understand the reason behind it. I spoke with my guide in Paris, and he shared something interesting. Design in those times wasn’t just about beauty. It was a carefully thought-out process that added character and value even to otherwise plain structures. People genuinely cared about the look and feel of spaces. ( republishing this video for better reach ) So tell me — which design element is fascinating you right now? I’ll do a design dissection on it. ❤️✨ #stainedglass #stainedglasswindows #europeanarchitecture #interiormaata #interiordesigner

ReelsA jharokha isn’t just an art piece or window . It’s a pause between inside and outside. Centuries ago, it gave privacy without isolation, light without glare, air without harsh heat. Queens could observe the world unseen. Stone screens softened the sun, cooled the space, and created patterns that changed through the day. From an interior perspective, it’s powerful. It frames views intentionally. It creates a natural focal point. It becomes a built-in seat, a reading nook, a meditation corner. It controls light like a design tool, not just an opening. It adds depth to flat walls and emotion to empty rooms. Today, in glass-heavy homes, the jharokha reminds us - Good design doesn’t expose everything. It filters. It protects. It enhances ♥️ That’s timeless architecture.

ReelsThe Kīrtimukha, meaning “Face of Glory”, is a powerful motif in Hindu temple architecture. Mythologically, it originates from a story where Lord Shiva created a ferocious creature to destroy an asura’s messenger. Starving, the being was told to devour itself, symbolizing transformation, surrender, and humility. Shiva later blessed it as a guardian, decreeing its presence at sacred sites. Visually, Kīrtimukha is depicted as a fierce lion-like face with bulging eyes, sharp teeth, and a gaping mouth, often shown without a lower jaw. Its placement above temple doorways, sanctum arches, or cornices serves both as ornamentation and a protective emblem. Symbolically, it wards off evil forces, purifies the space, and reminds devotees to shed ego before entering the divine realm. Beyond temples, its design language inspires art, craft, and interiors. You can have them at home too … Putting a Kīrtimukha at your entrance isn’t just décor, it’s a guardian. It blocks negativity, invites auspicious energy, and gives your home that timeless power temple doors have had for centuries. . . #interiormaata #kritimukha

PostsMoving away from trends, this is how you make your home timeless ✨ People always ask me why antiques? • Sustainability - Reusing what’s already built is the most conscious way to furnish. • Uniqueness - No one else will have the same piece. Each one is one-of-a-kind. • Craftsmanship -These were made by hand, not machines. They hold time and skill. • Patina over polish - I love the imperfections. They show age, soul, and story. • Character - New furniture can be functional. But antique furniture? It’s emotional. That’s why every piece in these home is chosen, not bought. And this is #tradmo -where Indian tradition meets modern sensibility. #interiormaata #antique #tradmo #antiquedecor
