This is the celebration of a party that spoke of trust and delivered terror. Narendra Modi and Amit Shah have handed their karyakartas a licence to let loose on the streets, to mow down whatever stands in their path, to attack, brutalise and kill whosoever they please. And the Central Forces have been given one instruction. To stand down and let it happen. Today it is shops. Tomorrow it will be political opponents. Then it will be the statues of Bengal’s icons. And ultimately it will be the homes of the poor and vulnerable. But wherever BJP’s bulldozer rolls in Bengal, it will meet a wall. A wall of resistance, of defiance. We will fight this policy of state-sponsored terror.

Those who ran on ‘Bhoy Out, Bharosa In’ are the ones massacring our party workers, hacking them to death in broad daylight, vandalising our offices, and issuing dire threats against our leaders. Trinamool Congress will not abandon its people to this savagery. Shri @abhishekaitc has given his personal assurance that the party stands firmly behind every single worker who has been targeted, threatened or brutalised. He has also announced the immediate constitution of a 12-member fact-finding committee, with three teams of four members each, who will visit areas affected by BJP’s mindless violence. We will not flinch. We will not retreat. And we will not leave our people alone.

The Election Commission kept the result for Rajarhat New Town Assembly Constituency deliberately pending until 3PM today. After the initial rounds showed our candidate leading, @ECISVEEP arbitrarily ordered a recount, and today, after our counting agents were shooed out the previous night to make way for BJP’s rigging, BJP was declared the winner by a margin of just 316 votes. Shri @abhishekaitc has issued a simple, specific and unavoidable challenge to the ECI to release the CCTV footage for just four hours, between 8PM and midnight. If everything was above board, there is no reason to hesitate. Release the footage. Let the public see.

Shri @abhishekaitc has challenged @ECISVEEP to release the complete CCTV footage from 100 specific assembly constituencies for the entire day, with particular focus on the six hours between 12 PM and 6 PM. He has further stated that he is more than willing to produce credible, documented evidence before the media proving that the serial numbers of EVMs brought in for counting did not match Form 17C. Additionally, several EVMs, despite having been used for the entire day of polling, arrived at counting centres with over 90 percent battery charge intact. Anyone who understands how these machines work knows what that means. It means they were tampered with. The Election Commission can continue feeding its selective leaks to Godi Media. Or it can accept this challenge, release the footage, and prove us wrong. We are waiting.

We have received countless reports of EVM serial numbers not matching Form 17C. In over 100 counting centres across assembly constituencies, our counting agents were forcibly driven out after 2PM, the precise window when 80 to 90 percent of counting should have been underway. And yet, by that point, only 3 to 4 rounds had been completed, with a mere 10 to 15 percent of votes counted. It was at exactly this moment that BJP, with the eager assistance of Godi Media, manufactured the narrative that they had already swept to power. In several counting centres, randomisation was dispensed with entirely, eliminating any meaningful oversight by the state and handing the Centre unchecked control over the process. And all of this came on top of BJP having already deleted 30 lakh genuine voters from the rolls through SIR. This is VOTE LOOT, executed at scale.

This is the same @BJP4India that used to froth at the mouth and lecture the world about “political violence” every single day. We had always said, বদলা নয়, বদল চাই। Today, they have thrown their mask away and are openly unleashing mindless violence and hooliganism across Bengal. Drunk on power and bloated with arrogance, BJP’s pet goondas have vandalised the office of Shri @abhishekaitc at Amtala, pelting stones, tearing down posters and banners, ransacking the entire premises with impunity. And Amit Shah’s Central Forces stood there like mute spectators, watching the carnage unfold without lifting a single finger. Is this why their stay in Bengal was extended? So that they could stand guard for BJP’s Harmad Bahini while they demolish our offices, brutalise our workers, and murder our people in cold blood? This is a LICENSE TO KILL issued from Delhi, executed on the streets of Bengal, and watched over by forces that were never here to protect us.

Smt. @MamataOfficial has made it clear that she will not resign. Not from a contest that was never fair, never free, and never meant to be. This was a conspiracy scripted in Delhi and executed by a complicit Election Commission, rigged from the very first day to manufacture a predetermined outcome for its masters. Every institution was mobilised, every rule was bent, every safeguard was dismantled, and still, we fought them at every step, on every front, without flinching. And if there is a moral victor in this battle, it is us. Didi has given her word that she will be back on the streets where she was born politically, where she earned every ounce of the people’s love and trust, to stand shoulder to shoulder with her Maa, Mati, Manush. They have not silenced her. They have only given her more reason to fight.

Smt. @MamataOfficial has condemned, in the strongest possible terms, the dastardly violence being unleashed by BJP on our party workers across the state. BJP’s Harmad Bahini is on a rampage, massacring our people, hacking workers to death on roads, threatening women with rape, and setting our party offices ablaze. And it is unfolding with the full backing of Central Forces who have stood aside and allowed BJP’s goondas to run amok unchecked. But let this serve as a warning that power is never absolute, and its shelf life is shorter than its wielders believe. BJP will pay a very heavy price for every drop of blood spilled, every office burned, every threat issued against our mothers and daughters.

This election was never a direct political contest between Trinamool Congress and BJP. This was a battle against a villainous, compromised Election Commission that has scripted a black day for Indian democracy. This was a battle against the entire might of the State Machinery, headed by Narendra Modi and Amit Shah, bent, warped and weaponised to hand BJP an ill-gotten victory through arbitrary transfers and appointment of BJP stooges in every key position of authority. This was a battle against Central Forces deployed by the lakhs not as peacekeepers but as BJP’s boots on the ground, conducting raids, terrorising voters, and dismantling any possibility of free and fair elections. This was a battle against industrial-scale electoral fraud, from the SIR exercise that deleted lakhs of genuine voters, to the brazen tampering of EVMs and CCTVs. They did not defeat Trinamool Congress. They defeated democracy itself. And that is not a victory anyone should be proud of. It is a crime that history will not forget.

Smt. @MamataOfficial expressed her heartfelt gratitude to all INDIA Bloc parties and their leadership for the solidarity and support they have shown in this hour. She gave her word that Trinamool Congress will bounce back and fight this battle with renewed strength, vigour and purpose. They have not seen the last of us. Not by a long shot.

This is not the end. This is only the beginning. In an unapologetic, unflinching press conference, Smt. @MamataOfficial, joined by Shri @abhishekaitc, Smt. Chandrima Bhattacharya, Shri Sobhandeb Chattopadhyay, Shri Firhad Hakim, Shri Derek O’Brien and Shri Kalyan Banerjee, categorically laid out how the entire electoral process, from start to finish, was rigged in BJP’s favour. She condemned, in the strongest possible terms, the brutalisation of our party workers unfolding across the state in the wake of this flawed and sabotaged election. And she made it absolutely clear that none of this will break us. Every blow they land will only harden our resolve. Every act of violence, every rigged booth, every sabotaged vote will only deepen our commitment to the fight for our Maa, Mati, Manush. They may have manipulated this election. They cannot manipulate what comes next.

@ECISVEEP is openly playing dirty. They are deliberately slowing down the counting process and withholding trends from all 293 assembly constituencies. This is a calculated attempt by the Extremely Compromised Institution to psychologically weaken us and create space for manipulation. But they are fooling themselves. Our counting agents, our party workers, and our supporters are standing rock solid and will hold the fort till the very end. No matter how much you delay, distort or manipulate, Bengal will prevail against the Bangla-birodhi Bohiragoto Zamindars. The will of the people cannot be suppressed by your dirty games.

@ECISVEEP is deliberately slowing down the counting process to create confusion. Even now, they have not released trends for all 293 assembly constituencies. This is a calculated, malicious attempt by the Extremely Compromised Institution to psychologically weaken us and buy time for their masters. A 32-year-old man, a history-sheeter, yes, but a human being nonetheless, was beaten to death with sticks and clubs in Fatehpur, in front of his own parents. His mother and father fell at the feet of the attackers, pleading for their son’s life. The accused did not pause, did not flinch. They beat the parents too, and walked away leaving a man they presumed dead bleeding on the ground. He died during treatment at the district hospital. His parents, battered and broken, survived to grieve him. This is the law and order that BJP holds up as a model for the rest of the country. A state where a mob can beat a man to death before his parents’ eyes, assault the very people begging for mercy, and flee without fear, because in BJP’s Uttar Pradesh, the guilty have never had much reason to be afraid. And this is the ‘Poriborton’ they wanted to bring to Bengal.

Olympian Vinesh Phogat has courageously identified herself as one of the six women who filed sexual harassment complaints against former WFI chief and former @BJP4India MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. Despite her open apprehension about competing in the National Open Ranking Tournament in Gonda, a place closely linked to the monster, the Wrestling Federation of India has refused to change the venue. Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh is BJP’s blue-eyed boy, shielded by Modi, defended by Shah, and rewarded with a Lok Sabha seat for his son in Kaiserganj. Modi and Shah travel the length and breadth of this country mouthing “Beti Bachao” and “Nari Suraksha”, words so hollow, so grotesque in their hypocrisy, they should choke on every syllable. They comprehensively familiarised our counting agents with the entire counting process, clearly outlining their roles, responsibilities, and every crucial procedural step, while urging them to remain cautious, vigilant, and diligent in discharging this critical duty. The people of Bengal have voted decisively in favour of development, in favour of Joraphool, and now it is our collective responsibility to ensure that their democratic mandate is protected, defended, and counted without compromise.

Today, our delegation met @CEOWestBengal and registered a strong objection regarding the repeated and highly suspicious disruptions in CCTV surveillance at multiple strong rooms where polled EVMs and VVPATs are stored. This is a direct and deliberate violation of @ECISVEEP own guidelines, which clearly mandate 24×7 uninterrupted CCTV surveillance with continuous recording and access for authorised party representatives. We have made strong demands to: 👉 Immediately compile a complete report of all instances of CCTV malfunction, disruption, or downtime across every strong room in the state. 👉 Provide full, unedited CCTV recordings along with detailed logs showing all periods of interruption. 👉 Restore all CCTV systems to full, uninterrupted functionality with real-time monitoring and accountability for every lapse. 👉 Ensure continuous and unrestricted access to the surveillance feed for authorised representatives as per ECI protocols. Any attempt to tamper with the mandate of the people through technical sabotage will not be tolerated.

We had predicted it, and now it has happened. Within days of the second phase of polling in Bengal, @BJP4India has mercilessly hiked the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders by a massive ₹993 across the country. They have also increased the price of LPG used for autos by another ₹6.44 per litre. This is nothing short of a catastrophe for small businesses, poor and vulnerable workers, auto drivers, office-goers and regular commuters. During the entire election campaign, Narendra Modi and his entire Cabinet lied to the people with straight faces. They deliberately delayed these price hikes to create a false sense of complacency and avoid public anger during voting. Now that the elections are over, the Mehngai Man Modi has stabbed the common people of this country in the back once again. An absolute disgrace of a Prime Minister! And this is only the first blow. Once the results are announced, BJP will come after the price of domestic LPG cylinders as well. People will not forget this treachery.

BJP’s hostility towards Bengal and its people has now crossed all limits. First, they called us “Bangladeshi” for speaking in our mother tongue Bengali. Then they labelled us “Rohingyas” for eating fish. And now, the @BJP4India has sunk to a new low, openly equating Bengal with Pakistan. They have dubbed Diamond Harbour as the ‘Lyari of Bengal’, a deeply insulting and humiliating comparison that is being shamelessly amplified by their Godi Media. Why this continuous otherisation of Bengal? Is it because despite pumping in unlimited money, muscle and Central Forces, the BJP has miserably failed to gain even a foothold in this state? Does that now give them the right to call us Pakistanis? A state that sacrificed the most blood for India’s freedom is being treated with utter despise, contempt and hatred by the Delhi Zamindars. This is deep-seated hatred and cultural aggression against Bengal. Bengal will never accept this humiliation.

Their struggle is the foundation of progress, justice, and collective prosperity. Solidarity with every worker who continues to shape the world through honest toil.

BJP and their compromised Election Commission have no idea who they are dealing with. They have imported operatives from other states to swarm the area outside the Netaji Indoor Stadium, staging a media spectacle to mask their fear. We do not need to mobilize. At one command from Smt. @MamataOfficial, 10,000 people would descend upon that area in minutes. We choose peace because we respect the law, not because we fear you. But do not mistake our civility for weakness. Try to touch a single EVM, try to heist the people’s mandate, and you will face the full, unbridled consequences of your actions. Didi has shown the way today by guarding the front lines herself. We are mindful. We are vigilant. Any attempt at tampering will face the wrath of the people. Heed this warning. Bengal will not be looted.

BJP’s game plan is out in the open, and it is a blueprint for failure. They deleted legitimate voters through SIR. They failed. They purged neutral officials and installed their own stooges. That failed too. They even attempted a midnight heist at the Netaji Indoor Stadium strongroom to tamper with EVMs, only for Smt. @MamataOfficial to anticipate and foil their dirty tricks. Left with no other move, at 1:08 PM on April 29th, they sent a coercive directive to media houses, bankrolling them to broadcast manipulated exit poll figures. This is a desperate psychological war to weaken our resolve. Like every past conspiracy, this too will collapse. Didi has seen through their facade, and for those who know her, her ishara is kaafi.

Our media-savvy @ceo_wb, Mr. Manoj Kumar Agarwal, should prioritise his constitutional mandate over late-night press conferences. While he is busy managing optics, @BJP4India has been caught on CCTV attempting to forcefully breach sealed ballot boxes at the Netaji Indoor Stadium strongroom, without a single party stakeholder present. This is an attempt to loot democracy, actively facilitated by the Election Commission’s criminal negligence. Does the Chief Electoral Officer really expect us to remain silent while Smt. @MamataOfficial takes proactive steps to defend the people’s mandate? Make no mistake, this is Bengal. We are not Bihar, Maharashtra, or Delhi. We will not play along with your subversion. Every action will have an equal and opposite reaction. Guard the vote, or face the consequences.

BJP’s Twitter trolls, bankrolled by Amit Malviya, are peddling desperate lies again. They’ve twisted Smt. @MamataOfficial’s speech to claim she predicted 300 seats. In her virtual address, Didi can clearly be heard saying that Trinamool Congress is on track for a landslide, securing 226 seats in 2026, and comfortably crossing 230. But how would the Bohiragotos know? These are the same people who call Bengali a “Bangladeshi language” and claim “there is no such language as Bengali.” If you can’t even comprehend the language of the soil, you have no business trying to rule it. Brush up on your Bengali vocabulary, Gujarat and Delhi Babus, before you dare come at us. On May 4th, this election will democratically bury your arrogance into the pages of history.

BJP outsourced its GUNDAGARDI to Amit Shah’s Central Forces, who ran riot all day, terrorising voters across Bengal. In Udaynarayanpur, an elderly man who could barely walk without assistance was shoved to the ground and later declared dead at the hospital. In Falta, women faced brutal lathi charges. This blood will not be washed away easily. BJP paid dearly for the innocent blood spilled in 2021. They will pay an even heavier price in 2026. A young college student in Balasore was forced to set herself on fire after being denied justice. Now, in another shocking case, a 67-year-old grocery shop owner has raped an MBA student from Chhattisgarh. Under the pretext of delivering items, the predator entered her room and committed this heinous act, even attempting to buy her silence with promises of ‘free groceries’ and threats of violence. This is the MAHA JUNGLE RAJ that has become synonymous with the BJP. Bengal, be very, very careful!

CAUGHT RED-HANDED! BJP’S CASH-FOR-VOTES SCANDAL EXPOSED! Desperate, defeated, and devoid of public support, BJP has resorted to its final, filthiest tactic. BUYING THE MANDATE. BJP promised unconditional citizenship to our Matua brothers and sisters, but they delivered nothing but betrayal. After years of dangling the bait of citizenship to mislead the community, they forced legitimate citizens, people with every valid document, to stand in humiliating queues just to prove they belong. Worse still, thousands were heartlessly erased from the electoral rolls. When confronted with this injustice, BJP leaders mocked the community, claiming it was ‘perfectly fine’ if a lakh Matua names were deleted, even saying, ‘let them die.’ This is the true, Matua-Birodhi face of the BJP.

BJP has mistaken our civility for weakness. They will soon learn the difference. We fiercely condemn BJP’s cowardly and dastardly attack on Smt. Mitali Bag, an elected representative and a voice for the Scheduled Caste community. Manoj Kumar Agarwal, Subrata Gupta, and Gyanesh Bharti have been pressuring Central Observers in Bengal, compromising their independence and bending the election machinery to BJP’s will. Senior IAS officer Anurag Yadav, General Observer in Cooch Behar, had a sharp disagreement with the Chief Election Commissioner. Then Observer C. Paulrasu, a 2004 batch Himachal Pradesh cadre officer and former CEO of Himachal Pradesh, stated categorically in the Observers’ group that the CEO has no authority to convene meetings with or direct the Observers. The CEO of West Bengal deleted his messages and removed him from the group. When we exposed this, the CEO dismissed it as misleading and fake. Today, we are producing the chat leaks.

“Choli ke peeche kya hai?” What exactly is BJP hiding behind the Women’s Reservation Bill? We have always supported women’s reservation. That position has never changed and never will. But what we will not accept, under any circumstances, is the Delimitation conspiracy being smuggled through its cover. BJP lacks the courage to bring Delimitation openly before the people, to defend it on its merits, to face the scrutiny it deserves. So instead, they drape it in the language of women’s empowerment and dare anyone to object. This is not about Nari Shakti. It never was. It is about monopolising power. And Bengal will not be complicit in it.

We support Women’s Reservation. We always have. But women are not one-third of this country. They are half of it. We demand 50% reservation in Parliament, not the tokenism of 33%. What is being pushed through under the banner of empowerment is not empowerment at all. It is a political instrument, deployed with surgical precision, for electoral gain. The Delimitation numbers tell the full story. Five Southern states together gain barely 63 additional seats. BJP-dominated Northern states gain nearly 130. That arithmetic is not coincidence. It is the entire point. And the timing? Not accidental. This sudden urgency arrives precisely when BJP faces the prospect of defeat in Bengal and Tamil Nadu. When the electoral map looks unfavourable, redraw it. When democracy produces the wrong result, engineer the next one. We will not allow democracy to be distorted in the name of Nari Shakti.

If BJP’s intent was genuinely the empowerment of women, the record would speak for itself. In the Lok Sabha, BJP has 31 women MPs out of 240. That is 12.9%. In the Rajya Sabha, 18 out of 106. That is 16.9%. Now look at Trinamool Congress. 39.2% women in the Lok Sabha. 46% in the Rajya Sabha. The highest in the country. By far. The difference is not rhetorical. It is structural. It is the difference between a party that talks about women’s empowerment and a party that actually practices it. Women outshine men in turnout, recording a polling percentage of 65%. And the ruling government offers them tokenism dressed as representation. Because this was never about empowerment. It was always about Delimitation. A calculated exercise to weaken the federal balance, and engineer electoral outcomes that no democratic mandate can deliver for BJP. Bengal will not allow it.

@amitshahofficial had the audacity to question, “Why are there so many issues in Bengal’s SIR?” Because the manner in which SIR has been conducted in Bengal is unprecedented, unconstitutional, and unparalleled anywhere else in the country. In no other state were 1.2 crore voters forced to stand in humiliating queues just to prove their right to exist as voters. Despite the clear orders of the Hon’ble Supreme Court, the Election Commission has refused to release supplementary lists, pushing ordinary people into a nightmare of fear, anguish, and perpetual torment. And the price of @ECISVEEP’s callous indifference and shameless collusion with @BJP4India? It is costing innocent lives. A man in Baduria, North 24 Parganas, hanged himself in sheer desperation, driven to suicide by the anxiety of his name being put under adjudication, with no clarity from the Commission on the supplementary lists. 200 deaths have already stained this fraudulent process. 200 lives sacrificed at the altar of electoral manipulation. And the trail of blood leads straight to @narendramodi, @amitshahofficial, and Mr. Vanish Kumar, the architects of this voter vanishing act. Is this what the BJP meant by “Banchte Chai, BJP Tai”? That the people’s very right to live with dignity, to exist as voters, will be snatched away under the cover of “reform”?

Due to the failed policies and criminal incompetence of the @narendramodi government, the poor and vulnerable people of India are left to pay the heaviest price. LPG cylinder prices have skyrocketed to unbearable levels. A crippling, man-made shortage has left kitchens empty and families in despair. @BJP4India spent ₹1,737.68 crore on the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, more than the combined expenditure of at least seven opposition parties. But when it comes to providing subsidies for ordinary families? When it comes to ensuring affordable gas for the kitchens of the poor? Suddenly, there is no money. They distribute cash to buy votes. But they cannot, and will not, distribute gas to light the chulhas of India’s poorest households.

.@narendramodi, you can try to misinform our people with manufactured lies all you want, but you cannot hide the brutal reality staring you in the face. The highest number of migrant workers are not fleeing Bengal. They are fleeing @BJP4India-ruled states in search of the most basic livelihoods. Uttar Pradesh. Bihar. Madhya Pradesh. Rajasthan. Odisha. These are the real epicentres of despair under your “Double Engine” sarkar, with rising unemployment, vanishing jobs, shrinking opportunities, families torn apart, people forced to leave their homes, their soil, their dignity just to survive.

The Assembly Election campaign has not even begun in full force, and @BJP4India is already backed into a corner, gasping for breath. While their candidate from Alipurduars was out campaigning, he was tailed by BJP workers and active supporters themselves, loudly chanting “Go Back! Go Back!” Even their own karyakartas are now rejecting them on the streets. The house of cards is collapsing in a storm of its own making. Infighting. Factionalism. Desertions. Rebellion from within. BJP in Bengal is no longer a political party; it is a crumbling, fractured organisation eating itself alive. What a pity!

@BJP4India has not pulled a single punch. They weaponised @ECISVEEP to erase legitimate voters through the fraudulent SIR process. 👉 63 lakh names have already been deleted. 👉 60 lakh more voters have been put under adjudication. 👉 200 precious lives have been sacrificed in their reckless bloodbath. And yet, when even this massive electoral fraud failed to improve their sinking chances, BJP has now gone for the final, desperate strike. In a last-ditch attempt to rig the polls, they are getting administrative officials and key police personnel removed or transferred by the dozens, without consulting the State Government even once, and without citing a single reason. But let the Delhi Zamindars hear this loud and clear. You can delete names. You can transfer officers. You can import hundreds of observers. You cannot delete the will of the people of Bengal.

@BJP4India handing out tickets like criminal records are qualifications. Bengal knows better. In 2026, the verdict will be loud and clear.

.@BJP4India does not need us to defeat it in Haringhata. It is doing an excellent job of destroying itself. Sitting BJP MLA Ashim Sarkar has been fielded again from Haringhata. And the response from within his own party? Veteran BJP leaders have taken to the streets in protest, publicly declaring that he has demolished the party organisation by surrounding himself with a coterie of corrupt and morally bankrupt individuals. This is the BJP that came to Bengal promising "Poriborton." A party so consumed by factionalism, so hollowed out by infighting, and so paralysed by the competing ambitions of its own leaders that it cannot field a candidate without triggering a revolt. BJP is a cautionary tale about what happens when a Party built on the promise of "discipline" and "integrity" turns out to have neither. The only "poriborton" visible is BJP's poriborton from a political challenger into the most reliable source of self-inflicted embarrassment.

For what is arguably the first time in the history of Indian democracy, elections have been announced and MCC has come into effect without the electoral roll being finalised. SIR was conducted in a rushed, chaotic manner with no adequate planning, no proper preparation, and no regard for the citizens it was supposed to serve. The consequences? 63 lakh names deleted. 60 lakh voters still under adjudication. Nearly 200 lives lost. And not a single Supplementary List published by the Election Commission, denying lakhs of wrongfully excluded citizens even the basic right to appear before Appellate Tribunals and challenge their own disenfranchisement. This humiliation and suffering inflicted on the people simply for BJP's political benefit will not go down well. Every assault on our rights will be answered by the people themselves through the power of their votes, which BJP dreads so much.

Revisiting these because honestly… nothing has aged better than @BJP4India’s failed ambitions in Bengal. 🫣

Double Engine. Double Destruction. 📌 Madhya Pradesh: Eight people died after a fire broke out in a three-storey house in Indore. 📌 Delhi: Nine people, including three children, were killed in a fire in a residential building in Palam. Whenever tragedy strikes Bengal, the vultures of @BJP4India swoop in with their usual politics over dead bodies. Now that 17 innocent lives have been lost in “Double Engine” states, will @BJP4India send a fact-finding team? Will they demand the resignation of @drmohanyadav51 and @officialrekhagupta?

How much further will Bangla-Birodhi @BJP4India go in trivialising human suffering? Rahul Sinha declared, with breathtaking casualness, that “only four or five people” have died because of SIR. Only four or five. Said as easily as one might comment on the weather; without a moment’s hesitation, without a flicker of remorse, without even the pretence of human feeling. Over 170 lives have already been lost, claimed by the fear, humiliation, and relentless anxiety created by this coercive, vindictive SIR exercise, under circumstances that should never have been created in the first place. For BJP, these are numbers to be brushed aside with a wave of the hand. Inconvenient statistics to be minimised, distorted, and buried before they attract too much attention. This is who BJP is. When confronted with the human cost of their actions, they do not acknowledge it. They do not accept responsibility. They shrink the numbers, dismiss the grief, and move on, as if reducing the scale of suffering on paper will somehow erase it from reality. Shame on you. Shame on every single one of you.

The fire of democracy burns bright at Dharmatala. Under the leadership of Smt. @MamataOfficial, the dharna against the treacherous SIR enters its fourth day. Thousands of wronged voters and supporters have gathered in solidarity, sending a clear and thunderous message that Bengal will never bow to voter suppression. The fight to defend our Constitution and the democratic rights of every citizen continues with resolve. This battle is far from over.

Vanish Kumar has lost all credibility, integrity, and now, even the faintest sense of balance. Since arriving in Bengal, he has been confronted by ordinary citizens demanding to know why their names have been struck off the electoral rolls. It appears that this public anger has left him visibly rattled. Today, he lashed out at our three-member delegation, even blaming us for dragging @ECISVEEP to the Supreme Court. Why should that offend him? When the democratic rights of our people are under threat, we have every constitutional right to seek judicial redress, and we will continue to exercise that right without hesitation. In an extraordinary display of arrogance, Mr. Vanish Kumar even raised his voice at our Minister, Smt. Chandrima Bhattacharya, revealing the kind of contempt he appears to harbour for elected representatives, including women in public office. Power is never absolute, and arrogance rarely goes unanswered. If Mr. Kumar believes otherwise, he would do well to remember that in a democracy, the people ultimately restore the balance of reality.

The country’s biggest vanishing act.

@BJP4India first vilifies Bengal, branding its people as “Rohingya” and “Bangladeshi” to manufacture suspicion and stigma. Then the Election Commission, rushing ahead with a reckless and ill-conceived SIR, forces lakhs of genuine citizens to endure humiliation, endless queues and needless harassment, yet still fails to identify even a single “ghuspaithiya.” Instead, it is ordinary families who bear the brunt of this chaos, and tragically, over 170 precious lives have been lost in the process. The right to vote is not a favour dispensed from Delhi. It is a constitutional guarantee, one that cannot be undermined by prejudice, administrative haste or politically motivated exercises.

We repeatedly sought meetings with the Chief Electoral Officer, West Bengal, and the Election Commission of India. Smt. @MamataOfficial and Shri @abhishekaitc even wrote to the Commission and personally visited Nirvachan Sadan in Delhi to raise serious concerns about the opaque and coercive manner in which the SIR process was being carried out in Bengal. Yet, all our grievances went unanswered and unaddressed. Today, our three-member delegation met the full bench of @ECISVEEP and placed before them, in detail, our categorical objections. These include the unfair deletion of 63 lakh voters, nearly 60 lakh voters being arbitrarily placed “under adjudication”, and glaring anomalies in deletions under Form 7 and additions under Forms 6 and 6A. We trust the Commission to rise above partisan considerations, abandon acting as a political instrument of BJP, and act decisively in the interest of protecting the integrity of India’s democratic fabric.

Four days. Relentless. Unbowed. At Dharmatala, Smt. Mamata Banerjee stands guard over Bengal’s democracy not from behind closed doors, but on the streets, among her people. Day and night, she continues her dharna against the reckless and partisan conduct of SIR, which threatens to erase the names of lakhs of legitimate voters. Dharmatala today is not just a protest site. It is the epicentre of a democratic awakening.

For months, we have consistently raised serious concerns with @ECISVEEP regarding SIR in Bengal. Repeated representations, documented irregularities, and unanswered questions ultimately forced us to approach the Supreme Court, a step that should never have been necessary in a democracy. The evidence is alarming. Almost 63.6 lakh voters have been deleted, while only 42,251 Form-7 objections were filed yet 5.46 lakh deletions executed. At the same time, 6.33 lakh Form-6 applications resulted in barely 1.82 lakh additions. Over 60 lakh voters remain under adjudication. Statutory authority of EROs has been bypassed, Micro-Observers given veto power, valid government documents rejected, and even critical instructions reportedly issued informally. When the process of revising the voter roll becomes opaque and arbitrary, the very foundation of electoral democracy is at stake. The Election Commission must act decisively to restore transparency, legality, and protect every citizen’s right to vote.

Today, Hon’ble MP Nadimul Haque, along with other MPs, walked out of the Rajya Sabha in protest after the Chair refused to allow a debate under Rule 267 on the SIR, a matter of grave constitutional importance. For the past four days, Smt. @MamataOfficial has been leading a steadfast dharna against this injustice. Lakhs of legitimate voters face arbitrary disenfranchisement, their fundamental right to vote under threat. This walkout was a principled stand. Democracy demands debate, not suppression. We will continue to raise our voices until justice is served.

The fight to protect Bengal’s voters is being led from the front by Smt. @mamataofficial. The @BJP4India’s conspiracy to tamper with the voting rights of Matua citizens is deeply alarming and cannot be ignored. Our MPs sought an urgent discussion in Parliament to expose this injustice. When that demand was refused, Smt. Mamata Bala Thakur and fellow MPs walked out in protest, refusing to remain silent while the democratic rights of Bengal’s people are threatened.

When the Right to Vote is denied, Democracy itself stands denied. For the fourth consecutive day, Hon’ble Chief Minister Smt. @MamataOfficial continues her relentless dharna, against the arbitrary and opaque manner in which SIR is being conducted in Bengal, threatening to disenfranchise lakhs of legitimate voters. Hon’ble MP @ghose_sagarika stated that inside Parliament, our MPs sought a discussion under Rule 267 on this grave assault of constitutional rights. But our Notices were not even read out. With our demand for a discussion ignored, we walked out in protest.

Bengal spoke in one voice. From the heart of Mathurapur, National General Secretary Shri @abhishekaitc reaffirmed what every proud Bengali already knows, this land will never bow to division, deprivation, or Bangla-birodhi politics. The sea of people who gathered wasn’t just a crowd; it was a declaration of faith in Maa-Mati-Manush. While Delhi withholds Bengal’s rightful dues, from MGNREGA to housing schemes, and unleashes a reckless SIR that has spread fear and harassment, Bengal is choosing resistance over silence. 2026 will not just be another election. It will be a decisive battle to defend our language, our culture, our constitutional rights, and our dignity against Delhi’s zamindari arrogance. The message is clear. Bengal is united. We have been warning Bengal that @BJP4India is desperate to impose President’s Rule as their final, frantic bid to steal power. And now their own MP, Raju Bista, has openly called for it. First they weaponized the Election Commission to launch the most ruthless voter purge in history, effectively paralysing the state administration ahead of elections. But Bengal didn’t break. It only grew fiercer, more united, more determined to defend democracy. When that failed to crush us, they unilaterally changed the Governor without consultation, hoping a new puppet in Raj Bhavan would strangle our spirit. That too fell flat. Bengal stood taller. Now, cornered and humiliated, with no path left through, President’s Rule is their last, gasping hope. Suspend the elected government, dissolve the Assembly, rule by diktat from Delhi; that is the autocratic fantasy they are openly salivating over. It is unimaginable how far the @narendramodi Government is willing to go to force a foothold in a state that has historically defied their authoritarian ambitions.

The fight is on. And it will not stop. At Dharmatala, Smt. @MamataOfficial stands firm for the second consecutive day, leading the resistance against the sinister conspiracy of Bangla-Birodhi @BJP4India and a compromised @ECISVEEP to snatch away the voting rights of Bengal’s people. This is a battle to defend the very soul of democracy. BJP knows it cannot defeat the people of Bengal in a fair contest. So it has chosen the coward’s path of deleting voters, pushing genuine citizens into "under adjudication" limbo, and weaponising institutions that were meant to protect democracy. Yet when it comes to the very icons they claim to worship, their ignorance is exposed instantly. Bengal does not need lessons in patriotism from those who cannot even pronounce the names of our icons correctly.

If Bengal @BJP4India leaders have any shame, they might want to keep these pictures away from Delhi. This is what their meeting in Karandighi, Uttar Dinajpur looked like. Like every year, @BJP4India is drumming up an artificial buzz around the elections, squandering crores of public money on their sham “Poriborton Yatra” in Bengal. Their IT Cell has gone into overdrive, flooding social media with delusional hype and manufactured frenzy. Top-brass leaders are flown in like pampered royals to spout empty rhetoric at rallies. Yet, for all this grotesque spectacle, there’s zero substance, just hot air. At their Cooch Behar rally, empty chairs outnumbered attendees, a pathetic testament to BJP’s crumbling organization in Bengal, where they can’t even muster a modest crowd. Bengal has already rejected these charlatans, and the writing is on the wall.

The farce of @BJP4India and @ECISVEEP’s Silent Invisible Rigging reaches new lows of absurdity. A World Cup-winning star like Richa Ghosh, Bengal’s pride, India’s hero, the wicketkeeper-batter who donned the blue jersey and brought glory to the nation, has now been placed “under adjudication” in the final electoral rolls. She, who has represented India overseas with distinction and earned every Bengali’s admiration is forced to endure this humiliating scrutiny, her name flagged, her voter status questioned, her democratic right dangling by a thread in this voter purge. When even celebrities and national icons can be arbitrarily targeted, questioned, and subjected to this degrading process, what hope for the common Bengali voter? This is systematic humiliation engineered to disenfranchise, to silence, to erase Bengal’s voice one name at a time.

A couple from Patharpratima, voters since 2002, now suddenly marked “under scrutiny” in the final SIR list. For over two decades their names were unquestioned. Today, they are treated as doubtful. Their two sons remain valid voters, but the parents are abruptly labelled suspect. What changed overnight? Their identity or the intent behind the process? Such stories are coming forward from multiple places. Ordinary families are being dragged into anxiety without explanation, compelled to defend what they have already proven for years. When citizens who have voted for decades are forced to re-establish their existence, the problem is not with them, it is with the system. Democracy cannot function on manufactured suspicion. Bengal is not blind to what is unfolding and we will not allow procedural opacity to quietly erase the rights of our people.

63,66,952. That is the staggering number of voters deleted under @BJP4India and @ECISVEEP’s SILENT INVISIBLE RIGGING. Add to that 60,06,675 cases still pending adjudication, and today’s publication of the final electoral roll delivers the final, brutal blow in a long-orchestrated conspiracy to disenfranchise Bengal’s voters. What began on October 27, 2025, was never about “clean rolls.” It was a cruel, heartless, premeditated plot to snatch Bengal’s democratic voice. Over 150 precious lives have been lost. 1.36 crore citizens were branded with “logical discrepancies” and forced into degrading trials like common criminals. Due process was shredded. Goalposts shifted overnight. Micro-observers parachuted in to enforce deletions. Restrictions on Form 7 lifted to flood the system with bogus objections. Voters deleted from the backend without notice. Living, breathing people marked “dead” and erased. This was BJP’s deletion quota fulfilled with ruthless precision. But Bengal has stood tall. Smt. @MamataOfficial challenged this conspiracy tooth and nail, on the streets and in the courts. We did not take a knee. The Bangla-Birodhi Zamindars of Delhi thought they could erase our voice. The people have seen the blood on their hands. And in 2026, Bengal will deliver a total, crushing, unforgiving verdict by rejecting every architect of this DEMOCRATIC MURDER.

Because of the ECI’s failure to discharge its sacred constitutional duties, and the complete erosion of public trust in its partisan functioning, the Supreme Court had no choice but to strip the ECI of control and appoint Judicial Officers to adjudicate the remaining 50 lakh pending claims and objections. And now the Supreme Court has ordered that after the publication of the final electoral roll on 28 February 2026, the ECI must release supplementary lists, with every single adjudicated case uploaded daily, in real time, for public scrutiny. No more SILENT INVISIBLE RIGGING. Every decision, every inclusion, every exclusion must be laid bare, day by day, under public and judicial microscope.

What kind of sleight-of-hand magic trick was @ECISVEEP trying to pull off? They arbitrarily branded 1.36 crore voters as “logical discrepancies”, and left 50 lakh of them dangling in limbo. Today the Supreme Court did the simple math. Even if all 250 judicial officers conducted 250 hearings a day, it would still take a minimum of 80 days to clear the backlog. So tell us, Mr. Vanish Kumar, how exactly was the Election Commission planning to “settle” these cases before the deadline? By deleting lakhs of legitimate voters who are already mapped to the 2002 rolls through self or progeny linkage? Is this how a constitutional body functions in @narendramodi’s ‘Amrit Kaal’? By running a SILENT INVISIBLE RIGGING operation? As long as the Maa, Mati, Manush of Bengal reposes its faith in Smt. @MamataOfficial and Shri @abhishekaitc, not a single genuine voter will be erased. The game is over. The Supreme Court has exposed the fraud. BJP’s cowardly, backdoor voter deletion racket ends here.

Smt. @mamataofficial warmly congratulated the people of Kerala on the Union Cabinet’s approval to rename their state ‘Keralam’. At the same time, she reminded the Centre that a similar proposal to rename West Bengal as ‘Bangla’ has been lying buried for years. Every election season, @narendramodi and @amitshahofficial descend on Bengal, shedding crocodile tears and pretending to love our soil, our culture, our people. Spare us the drama. These Bangla-Birodhis have no respect for our heritage, no regard for our language, no honour for our icons, and zero concern for our dignity. In a democracy, power exists to serve the people, not the other way around. @ECISVEEP has just been brutally reminded of that bitter truth by the Hon’ble Supreme Court. The Election Commission had one single, sacred duty to protect the sanctity of the electoral rolls. Instead, Mr. Vanish Kumar sold his spine to @amitshahofficial and @narendramodi and turned the entire process into a deletion machine, striking off legitimate voters at will. That unchecked, arrogant authority has now been smashed and reined in by the highest court of the land. The Supreme Court has stripped the ECI of its stranglehold and ordered the deputation of Civil Judges (Senior and Junior Division), plus judicial officers of equivalent rank from the High Courts of Jharkhand and Odisha if required, to clear the remaining 50 lakh cases in a time-bound manner. We will leave no stone unturned to ensure that not a single genuine voter is erased in this cowardly SILENT INVISIBLE RIGGING.

The Chief Justice of the Calcutta High Court has now been directed to depute additional Civil Judges, and, if required, seek assistance from serving or retired judicial officers of equivalent rank from the High Courts of Jharkhand and Odisha. If this is not a reflection of how deeply COMPROMISED and DYSFUNCTIONAL the Election Commission has become, what is?

Eligible unemployed youth aged 21–40, who have completed Madhyamik, will receive ₹1,500 every month as financial support for up to 5 years or until they secure employment. This assistance is a companion on their journey to self-reliance and brighter futures.

A decisive victory for Bengal in the Hon’ble Supreme Court and a stinging rebuke to the Extremely Compromised Institution (ECI). The Apex Court has effectively removed the SIR process in Bengal from the unfettered discretion and supervision of @ECISVEEP. The Commission has lost both control and credibility in the manner in which this exercise was being conducted. With nearly 50 lakh names still pending adjudication and election timelines fast approaching, the Court has stepped in to prevent a democratic disaster of the ECI’s own making. Further, the Court has categorically held that documents such as Aadhaar and Madhyamik Admit Cards shall be accepted as valid proof of identity, dismantling the ECI’s arbitrary attempts to shift goalposts and disenfranchise legitimate voters through manufactured technicalities. This is yet another resounding slap in the face for the Election Commission and Mr. Vanish Kumar. They now stand thoroughly exposed, not only before the Court of law, but before the people of Bengal.

Another resounding VICTORY for Bengal’s Maa-Mati-Manush in the Supreme Court! @ECISVEEP’s arrogant stranglehold on Bengal’s SIR process has been decisively snapped. As Smt. @MamataOfficial demanded and fought for tooth and nail, the SC has now taken the reins, stripping the ECI of its unchecked discretion. The apex court has authorised the Chief Justice of the Calcutta High Court to deputise additional officers to the rank of Civil Judges (Senior & Junior Division) with at least three years’ experience. If that’s still not enough, the CJ can pull serving or retired judicial officers of equivalent rank from the High Courts of Jharkhand and Odisha. The ECI is so DISCREDITED, so INCOMPETENT, so DISTRUSTED that the Supreme Court is forced to import judges from other states to finish what was supposed to be their sacred constitutional job. And the final, searing slap is that the apex court has upheld that all documents listed in the ECI’s October 24 notification, and those subsequently cleared by the SC, including Aadhaar cards and Madhyamik admit cards, must be accepted as valid proof. No more arbitrary rejection games. No more selective humiliation of Bengal’s voters. The ECI’s desperate bid to rig the rolls by changing documentary standards mid-game has been crushed under judicial boots.

No more ilish on Poila Boishakh, no chingri malai curry at weddings, just their dictated diet of division and control. @samikbjpofficial, will you keep gaslighting Bengalis with fake assurances, or confess that BJP DEMANDS A BAN ON FISH AND MEAT? Arjun Sarkar, a local BJP leader in Dalkhola, Uttar Dinajpur, was caught on viral video savagely thrashing four helpless minors with a belt like some feudal lord gone rogue. These young boys were lured under the pretext of job offers, then falsely branded thieves and brutalized, with no mercy, no shame, just pure sadistic glee. This is the toxic entitlement bred in a party that shields goons while preaching morality from every podium. And what has this model delivered? Illegal milk factories poisoning thousands of villages with milk adulterated with detergent powder, urea, and other toxic chemicals, unfit even for animals, let alone human consumption. With the blessings of @bhupendrapbjp and his cronies, these criminal operations flourish unchecked, putting lives at risk every single day. But why would the BJP care? As long as their cut is secure, public health is expendable. Who knows how many such units are operating across the state under their protection? A thorough, time-bound probe is non-negotiable. Gandhinagar has already witnessed a major typhoid outbreak due to contaminated water and collapsing infrastructure. And they dare lecture us about building a “Sonar Bangla.” First build a livable, safe “Sonar Gujarat.” Then we’ll talk.

Behind the hollow noise of “Ladli Bahna” and “Beti Bachao” lies a political culture where violence against women is quietly absorbed, routinely defended, and swiftly normalised. @bjp4india has single-handedly dragged India’s political discourse into the gutter. From @official.anuragthakur’s “Goli Maaro” hate slogan and @ramesh_bidhuri’s Islamophobic slurs on the floor of Parliament against a fellow MP, to @bjp4assam’s now-deleted AI video openly glorifying violence against members of the Minority community, they have ground the secular, pluralist ethos of our Constitution into dust. In a deeply disturbing video posted from the official Assam Pradesh BJP handle, @himantabiswasarma was portrayed as a gunman shooting down people from the Minority community. If this is not a green signal for genocide and mass murder, what is? The same CM has earlier urged people to harass Muslims through everyday acts like underpaying them, but this crosses every line. This is open incitement. At every opportunity, BJP plays the communal card to polarise society, pit communities against one another, and normalise bloodlust in public life. Immediate criminal action must be initiated against him. The @ecisveep cannot remain a mute spectator; it must take cognisance of this open advertisement for targeted hate crimes against a community.

@BJP4India’s “One Nation, One Election” was sold as a cost-saving reform. What we’re witnessing in Bengal is One Nation, One Persecution, with @ECISVEEP reduced to a political hit squad. The reckless, vindictive SIR drive has already bled nearly ₹2,000 crore from the pockets of 1.5 crore citizens, and that’s using the most conservative estimates. Migrant workers have lost wages, elderly people have drained their savings, women have been forced into humiliating trials, and patients have been dragged from hospital beds, all just to prove they belong in their own country. First, the Modi government blocks Bengal’s rightful dues. Then it bleeds the people dry directly. This is economic strangulation of democracy, driven by one party’s and one man’s unquenchable hunger for power. Bengal will not forgive. Bengal will not forget.

In the Supreme Court, Smt. @mamataofficial spoke about a simple question Bengal has been asking for months: why are the rules different here? Across the country, domicile certificates, family records, caste certificates are accepted. Only in Bengal, suddenly, nothing is enough. Only here are ordinary people being dragged into hearings and made to doubt their own identity pushing them to take their lives. Her voice broke when she spoke of the cost of the rigged SIR. Over a hundred deaths. BLOs pushed beyond limits. Suicide notes that named the Election Commission and the Chief Electoral Officer. How long will they continue without any ounce of accountability? Her plea was a reminder that democracy cannot survive when procedure forgets humanity.

In Purba Bardhaman, democracy failed two people in a single day. A teacher deputed as a BLO died in a road accident while returning from duty. His elderly father, already unwell, could not survive the shock and also passed away shortly after. These were not separate tragedies; they were the human cost of a system pushed to a breaking point. The @BJP4India-backed SIR has created relentless pressure on officials and voters alike. Brutal deadlines. Zero sensitivity. Humanity replaced by orders from Delhi, indifferent to who collapses along the way. We reject a model of governance that crushes people to assert authority. Bengal will not allow democracy to become a machine that grinds lives down. Every life matters and we will do everything necessary to stop this machinery of death.

The @ECISVEEP has reduced West Bengal’s voter roll revision to a “do-as-you-please” spectacle, plunging millions of voters and officials into chaos. To serve the interests of @BJP4India, rules were arbitrarily altered mid-process, flawed AI algorithms were deployed, and 1.4 crore legitimate voters were effectively disenfranchised. Local officers were rendered mere rubber stamps while handpicked observers and centralised systems dictated the proceedings. Instructions transmitted via WhatsApp and blatant extralegal interventions became standard practice. These flagrant abuses, orchestrated by the Bangla Birodhi Nexus, will not be forgiven by the people of Bengal. Bengal demands accountability, and Bengal will resist and fight to the very end.
